A Gazan source dealing with information security told “al-Majd”, a news website affiliated with Hamas, that the organization has gotten hold of electronic dragonflies, whose size does not top that of a bird, which have been flying across Gaza. Hamas claim that Israel is behind the development of the technologically advanced spying device.
The source claimed that the dragonflies track the movements of Hamas members, in order to locate missing Israeli soldiers, as well as explosives. The source added that images of soldiers were planted on the dragonflies, in order to assist with the search.
“From far away they look like a normal small bird, but they are in fact American-made spying devices used by the Zionists,” the source stated. “GPS devices are installed on the dragonflies, transmitting signals to satellites.”
“They infiltrate buildings through small vents, like flies or mosquitos would,” he added. “They are controlled from a distance using satellites.” The source also claimed that the dragonflies are able to shoot at targets and blow themselves up on them.
