Prime Minister Netanyahu rejects President Obama's claims that there was "nothing new" in his Congress speech, and explains why his speech did in fact purpose an alternative to the forming Iran deal.

US President Obama claimed "there was nothing new" inNetanyahu's Congress speech yesterday. Prime Minister Netanyahu answered him in a speech he delivered this evening (Wed) in his Jerusalem office, claiming he did in fact propose an alternative to the forming "bad" deal with Iran.
"In my speech, I stated that the forming deal would not block Iran's path toward a nuclear bomb, but would instead pave its way toward it. I called on the US to adopt two new changes in the deal details," Netanyahu stated. "I called to limit Iran's nuclear abilities in order to buy more time – the time that would take Iran to obtain a nuclear bomb in case it violates the deal."
"In addition, I called not to remove the existing sanctions on Iran until the Islamic Republic stops supporting terror, until it stops its aggression in our region, and its threats toward Israel. If Iran wants to be treated as a normal state, it should start acting like it," the PM continued. He stressed that his speech in Congress "was of great importance, especially at this time."
President Obama responded to Netanyahu's speech yesterday, stating: "As far as I can tell, there was nothing new in Netanyahu's speech. The Prime Minister did not offer any viable alternatives to the deal."
