Following the recent terror wave in Sinai, Palestinian media reported that Israeli drones attacked targets in the peninsula, killing several people. These reports did not receive confirmation from Israeli sources and their credibility is in doubt.
On the backdrop of the recent wave of terror attacks, which hit the Sinai Peninsula, Palestinian media reported that Egypt is receiving reinforcement from Israel in Sinai. The “Shams News” website reported that IDF drones attacked two houses in the northern part of Sinai last night.
The website, which claims its reports are supported by credible sources and eyewitnesses, stated that Israel is assisting Egypt in its battle against terror cells in the northern part of the peninsula, and as part of this joint effort, Israeli drones embarked on attacks during which a number of people were killed. The sources did not reveal where exactly these attacks had taken place.
The reports received no confirmation from any additional sources, and were not confirmed by Israel. In the past it was claimed that Israel had attacked from the air and killed terrorists who planned and executed terror attacks in the Sinai area, and who belonged to the Ansar Bait al-Maqdis group which recently joined forces with IS.
A wave of terror attacks has been hitting the Sinai Peninsula in the past few days, with an IS-affiliated organization claiming responsibility for a series of attacks on soldiers and policemen. It was reported that at least 50 people have been killed in thus far, many of them coming from the ranks of local security forces. This has been a very tense time for Egypt, and large forces have been sent to the area in order to battle these harsh developments.
